  Purpose of Catalog

The UH-Downtown Catalog intends to reflect current academic policies, procedures, degree offerings, course descriptions, and other information pertinent to undergraduate and graduate study at UH-Downtown. The provisions of the Catalog are not an irrevocable contract between the student and the University of Houston-Downtown. Students are encouraged to consult with their advisors for questions related to course prerequisites, their degree plan or progress.

Although the catalog was prepared on the basis of the best information available at the time, and the information is updated regularly, users are cautioned about the following:

    1. Editorial, clerical, and programming errors may have occurred in the publication of this website, and the University of Houston-Downtown assumes no responsibility for such errors.
    2. There is a lag time between approved changes and their publication on this website.
    3. Students normally are entitled to graduate under the degree provisions of the catalog in effect at the time of their first completed semester of enrollment.
    4. The university reserves the right to change the provisions of this catalog at any time, including, but not limited to, degree requirements, course offerings, course prerequisites, fees, and listings in the calendar as necessitated by university or legislative action.

Access to Catalogs not Available Online

All previously printed UHD catalogs are maintained by the Office of the Registrar. Individuals interested in obtaining photocopies of content from historical catalogs not available digitally should contact the Office of the Registrar. Registrar's staff will assist in identifying, retrieving, photocopying, and forwarding relevant content to the requesting individual. There is no charge for this service. The UHD W. I. Dykes Library also maintains print copies of UHD catalogs in its archives. Librarians are available during regular hours of operation to assist the public with access to UHD catalogs published before 1999.
