Freshmen

First-time-in-college applicants must provide:

• Official High School transcript or General Education Diploma (GED)
• Passing TAAS, TAKS, or approved alternative (for Texas public school students only)

Freshmen applicants with fewer than 15 college hours must provide:

• Official High School transcript or General Education Diploma (GED)
• Passing TAAS, TAKS, or approved alternative (for Texas public school students only)
• Official transcripts from ALL colleges/universities attended
  

Transfer

Transfer applicants must provide:

• Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, regardless of coursework or performance
  

Transient

Transient applicants must provide:

• Official proof of current academic standing at the applicant’s primary university (includes official transcript, letter from the Registrar's office, or letter from the college of applicant's major - see the Official Transcripts section for the definition of "official").
• Official proof of Texas Success Initiative Assessment status or exemption
• Official transcripts are not required for admission purposes
• Unofficial or official transcripts from other institutions are required for advising purposes

A transient student is a student who is currently working towards a bachelor's degree at another college/university , and is eligible to enroll for one semester or two summer terms only. Transient students are not eligible for financial aid. A transient student who wishes to remain at UHD or plans to attend in a future term must reapply and be accepted as a transfer student (see Transfer Admission requirements).

Post-Baccalaureate

Post-Baccalaureate applicants must provide:

• Official transcript from the institution where Bachelor’s degree or equivalent was awarded
• Official proof of Texas Success Initiative Assessment status

Applicants seeking a second degree from UHD must submit official transcripts from all institutions previously attended.
